Keeping mixed vials fresh and how long they actually last

Hey everyone, I always get a bit paranoid about storage once I have added the liquid. Where do you usually stash yours and when do you tend to chuck them out?

I keep my powder in the main fridge and the mixed vials right in the fridge door where it stays steady between two and eight degrees. Mine usually get used within four to six weeks. If I ever spot any cloudiness in the liquid, I just bin it straight away to be safe.

Thanks so much, the fridge door is definitely where I've been putting mine too. Glad to know four to six weeks lines up with what others do!

Once a vial is mixed with liquid, a clock starts. The storage-fundamentals entry in the app's Library notes that most peptides are generally considered to hold their potency for around 28 days refrigerated.

To help protect a mixed vial, keep it at a steady temperature and in the dark. The back of the fridge is the steadiest spot, away from the door where temperature swings most. The thing peptides tolerate worst is repeated warming and cooling, so steady cold beats a cooler that keeps opening.

If you ever notice a solution has gone cloudy or thrown visible clumps, the FAQ entry on clumpy or cloudy vials explains that this can mean the peptide has aggregated or the vial is contaminated. That is a reason to stop using it and raise it with a healthcare professional.

Bacteriostatic water stays in a dark cupboard for me. Once reconstituted, it goes straight in the fridge door, nowhere near the freezing back wall. If it ever looks milky or cloudy, I don't risk it and it goes in the bin.
