Community guidelines.

A calm place to ask peptide questions and hear from people who have been there. Here is how we keep it that way.

Why this forum exists

People kept asking us for somewhere to ask questions without the noise. A lot of what is said about peptides online is loud, salesy or confidently wrong, and it is hard to know who to trust.

This is our answer: a place where questions get careful replies, experiences are shared honestly, and nobody is selling anything in the comments. Answers come from members, the Peptmate Team and clearly labelled experts.

Everything here is shared experience and education. None of it is medical advice, and dosing decisions typically sit with you and your health professional.

The rules

  • Be kindDisagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, insults or pile-ons. Plenty of people here are new, and every one of us was once.
  • Share, don't prescribeWhat you did and what you noticed is welcome. Telling someone else what to take, how much, or how often is not. Those decisions belong with each person and their health professional.
  • No sourcing, no seller namesDon't ask or answer sourcing questions, don't name shops or sellers, and don't hint at them. This applies to everyone, including our own partner. More on that below.
  • No contact detailsNo Telegram or WhatsApp handles, phone numbers, email addresses, social links or "DM me". Conversations stay in public, where everyone can learn from them and nobody gets cold messages.
  • No promotionNo ads, affiliate links, referral codes or self-promotion, whoever you are.
  • Talk about what you noticed, not what it fixesClaims that something cures, treats or reverses anything are held for a person to read. "I noticed this alongside that" is the honest way to put it, and the way we ask everyone to.
  • Stay on topicPeptides, tracking, reconstitution maths, storage and your own experience. Legal and regulatory questions are off topic here, for reasons further down.
  • Protect your privacy, and other people'sLeave out your real name, where you live, and anything that could identify you or someone else. Your posts are public.
  • One account eachOne person, one account. Extra accounts used to vote, argue with yourself or get around a ban are removed.

How moderation works

Every question, answer and reply is checked before anyone else can see it. An automated check reads it first, and most posts are live within a few seconds. Anything the check is unsure about, or anything on the list below, waits for a person on our team to read it. If the check itself fails, the post waits for a person too, rather than going live unchecked.

  • Every link is read by a personAny post with a link is held for review. Every link, every account, no exceptions, however long you have been here.
  • What gets held for a person to readLinks. Mentions of any shop or seller, EPAU included. Posts that tell someone what to take or how much. Claims of a cure or a treatment. Anything that looks unkind or off topic. Legal and regulatory questions. And anything suggesting someone may be struggling or unwell, where we hold the post and offer support straight away.
  • What never publishesSourcing questions and answers, contact details, and spam or promotion. A sourcing question may get a private reply by email instead.

A held post stays visible to you, with a label, while it waits. A person usually reads it within a few hours, a little longer overnight in Australia, and we let you know when it goes live.

Sometimes a moderator edits a post before approving it, usually to take out the name of a seller. When that happens we tell you what changed and why. Every moderation decision is recorded, and the record cannot be edited afterwards.

Posts from the Peptmate Team and from EPAU Experts go through exactly the same checks as everyone else's.

The no-seller rule applies to us too

Any mention of any seller is held, and the name is edited out before the rest goes live. That includes EPAU, our affiliate partner, and it includes posts from EPAU's own people.

We do it this way because a rule that bent for the people who wrote it would not be worth much. Keeping every seller out of public threads, ours included, is what keeps the answers here unbiased, and what makes it believable when we tell you where we stand.

Our affiliate partner

EPAU is Peptmate's affiliate partner, which means we have a commercial relationship with them. They are also our personal recommendation, and we would rather you heard both from us plainly than wondered about it.

The pinned post in Getting Started explains who EPAU is, why we recommend them, and how that relationship works on this forum.

A recommendation from us is a starting point for your own research, never a substitute for it. Look into it yourself, talk it through with your health professional, and go with what feels right for you. Your call, always.

Flair, rep and who is who

  • Peptmate TeamSomeone who works on Peptmate.
  • EPAU ExpertSomeone from EPAU. They answer education questions like any member, their profile says who they are and states the affiliate relationship, and they never post sales talk in threads.
  • RepEarned when people upvote your answers and when an asker accepts one. It shows how often the community found someone helpful. It is not a credential, and it never makes a post skip moderation.

Anonymity, and what we can see

On the forum you are a handle and a vial. Your posts, your handle, your avatar, your rep and any flair are public. Your name and your email address are never shown to other members, there is no member directory, and profiles are kept out of search engines.

Behind the scenes, our admin team can see more, and we would rather say so than have you assume otherwise: the email address on your account, the IP addresses and device identifier your posts came from, your browser details, your posts in every state including held ones, and your moderation history. We use that only to keep the forum safe: to stop spam, enforce bans and look into reports.

The privacy policy sets out exactly what is collected, who processes it and how long it is kept.

Reporting

Every question, answer and reply has a report flag. Pick a reason (spam or promotion, sourcing or seller talk, unsafe advice, harassment, or something else) and add a note if it helps.

Reports are private. The person you report is never told who sent it. A person on our team reads every report.

If someone breaks the rules

Most of the time a quiet word is enough. When it is not, this is the ladder, in order:

  • RemovalThe post comes down, and we tell you why.
  • A warningA note on your account, and a heads-up from us.
  • A pausePosting is switched off for a set time. You can still read everything.
  • A quiet restrictionFor accounts that are clearly here to spam or sell. The account keeps working for its owner, but what it posts reaches nobody else, and its votes do not count.
  • A permanent banThe account is closed, and new accounts from the same person are restricted from the start.

Serious cases, like harassment or spam at scale, can skip straight to the end. If you think we got a decision wrong, email us and a person will look at it again.

Legal and regulatory topics stay off the site

We keep questions about legality, import rules, travel and prescriptions off Peptmate entirely. They are held and get a standard reply. The rules differ by place and change over time, and a forum is the wrong place to get them wrong.

Here is what we do cover: tracking and logging, reconstitution maths, storage, getting started with the app, and what members have noticed in their own experience.

Not medical advice

Community members share their own experiences here. Nothing on the forum is medical advice, and dosing decisions typically sit with you and your health professional. Peptmate is an education and tracking companion.
