Small welt after injecting

Got a bit of a raised spot after my shot today. Just wondering if others get this sometimes or if I am doing something wrong with the angle.

I get a little itchy red spot every now and then depending on the peptide, especially with copper ones. For me it usually settles down after an hour or so if I just leave it alone.

I noticed more site reactions when I was going too fast or pulling it straight out of the fridge. I let mine sit out for ten minutes now and push the plunger really slowly, and that seemed to cut down on the welts completely.

A small red mark or mild bruising at the injection site is common and usually fades within a day or two. The subcutaneous-technique entry in the app's Library notes that this is part of normal post-pinning experience.

However, persistent pain, spreading redness, or swelling that grows rather than settles is different. Those signs are a signal to stop and seek a professional's eyes, as outlined in the Safety basics entry. Neither this forum nor the app can advise on side effects or reactions, so if you are concerned, it is best to speak with a qualified health professional.

The Library does not cover specific injection angles or troubleshooting technique for individual body types, noting that the mechanics of a subcutaneous injection are best shown by a clinician in person.
